Hip-hop dance is a fusion dance style with influences from older street dance styles produced in the 1970s. Breaking was produced in The Bronx, New York City in the early 1970s. In its earliest form, it started as elaborations on James Brown's "Great Foot" dancing which debuted in 1972.
